The International day of yoga is also known as the World Yoga Day. United Nations General Assembly has declared 21st of June as an International Yoga Day on 11th of December in 2014. The known existence of Yoga is India-originated, considered to be around 5,000 years old. The word ‘yoga’ derives from Sanskrit and means to join or to unite, symbolizing the union of body and consciousness. Yoga and meditation are used to transform the body and mind. Yoga is something which is not practiced on the Yoga Day only. You are here looking to acquire skills on yoga but don’t know from where to start.  This “yoga for beginner series” will teach you certain postures that are essential for you to learn, so that you can feel comfortable in a group performance or practicing on your own at home.   Take a deep breath and know that “yoga is just two steps away”.
